Anula-For the people

Anula is a non-profit organisation (gUG) founded by Annick and Uwe Larisch. We are committed to peaceful, sustainable and equitable development in Cameroon. The name Anula comes from the Bantu language of West Cameroon and means "for the people" – a guiding principle that shapes all our work.

We do not see ourselves as traditional development aid workers, but as partners on an equal footing. Together with local communities, we strengthen structures that enable people to have a self-determined and livable future. Our approach is long-term, respectful and oriented towards the actual needs of the local people.

Our focus areas

Health – strengthening prevention, protecting lives

We support projects that improve basic medical care, promote education and facilitate access to health services.

Education – creating opportunities, enabling futures

Education is the key to development. We enable children and young people to access school, training and knowledge.

Work – promoting independence, creating prospects

We strengthen local initiatives, promote entrepreneurship and create paths to economic independence.
